e-Z News is designed to help you maximize your use of the Client Data System (CDS) program. Watch your e-mail for each
bi-weekly edition featuring tips, tricks and how-to's.
For our example, we are going to create labels for a mass mailing directly from within a set.
From the main CDS screen, click on the ‘Sets’ button on the toolbar.
When the ‘Find Sets’ window appears, either type in the name of an existing set, or click ‘Ok’ to bring up the global listing of all sets within your database.
For our example, we will be using an existing set. In this case, it will be a ‘Holiday Card’ mailing list. Double-click on this set to run it and bring up a list of the contacts it contains.
When the set appears, click the ‘green stoplight’ button to retrieve all of your contacts.
Once they all appear, click the ‘Tag All’ button on the toolbar to select all of the contacts contained in this set. All the tagged records will now have a red checkmark before them. (Keep in mind that you may tag all the contacts in your set, or a select few. Labels will only be printed for the ones you specify).
Once you have the contacts tagged, click on the ‘Spreadsheet Correspondence’ button on the toolbar.
This will bring up the ‘Spreadsheet Correspondence’ option window. Click on the ‘Labels’ button.
Once clicked, you will be able to select the label you would like to print on. For our example, we will be using the ‘Avery 5160’. Highlight the label and click on the ‘green checkmark’ button.
Once you click the checkmark, labels will be generated for all contacts that you had tagged within the set. Simply load your labels in your printer and click on the ‘Printer’ button to print them out.
